Published research on BPC-157

Most of what has been published on BPC-157 comes from cell and rodent studies. A 2025 systematic review of orthopaedic sports medicine research found 36 studies, 35 of them preclinical and one clinical, and a 2025 narrative review counted three human pilot studies (Vasireddi 2025; McGuire 2025). In rats and beagle dogs the intact peptide had an elimination half-life under 30 minutes (He 2022). The FDA lists BPC-157 among bulk drug substances that may present significant safety risks, and the World Anti-Doping Agency prohibits it.
