Description
Bacteriostatic Water (BAC Water) is a sterile aqueous solution containing 0.9% benzyl alcohol as a bacteriostatic preservative. It is the standard reconstitution solvent used across research peptide laboratories worldwide, designed specifically for multi-dose use with lyophilized peptide compounds. The benzyl alcohol concentration inhibits the growth of most bacteria and fungi within the vial, allowing repeated needle access without compromising sterility during research protocols.
Unlike standard sterile water for injection (SWFI), bacteriostatic water’s preservative system extends the usable life of reconstituted peptide solutions from a single use to up to 28 days under refrigeration — a critical practical advantage in multi-dose research settings. It is the preferred diluent for most lyophilized research peptides including BPC-157, TB-500, CJC-1295, ipamorelin, semaglutide, and all other Peptryn research compounds.
Peptryn’s bacteriostatic water is supplied in a 10ml sterile vial with a multi-use septum cap. Composition: sterile water (H2O) with 0.9% benzyl alcohol (9mg/ml). It is manufactured under controlled conditions and undergoes quality testing to ensure sterility and correct benzyl alcohol concentration prior to release.
Storage: Store at room temperature (20–25°C) before opening. After first use, refrigerate at 2–8°C and use within 28 days. Do not freeze. Discard if solution appears cloudy or discoloured.
